    The fireplace surround features crisp, horizontal shiplap boards that add texture and a sense of modern simplicity. The clean lines of the shiplap create a timeless look that fits seamlessly into the townhome’s contemporary design.


    Tailored for the Space

  • Project Spotlight: Garage-to-Library Conversion with Exquisite Maple Woodwork

    In this remarkable transformation, we turned a 3-car garage into a stunning, richly detailed library that feels like stepping into a handcrafted masterpiece. Every inch of this space was designed and built to exude warmth, sophistication, and timeless beauty, with craftsmanship that honors the homeowner’s vision and attention to detail.


    A Showstopping Coffered Ceiling

    The centerpiece of the library is its elaborate coffered ceiling, composed of four intricate layers of crown molding. This architectural feature elevates the room, adding depth and elegance while housing accent lighting that softly illuminates the space, creating an inviting ambiance.


    All-Maple Woodwork with Birdseye Maple Paneling

    Every wood element in the room was crafted from solid maple, with birdseye maple back paneling adding a touch of luxury and uniqueness. The room is enveloped in finely crafted woodwork, including:

     • Seven 30-Inch Base Cabinets: Topped with built-in bookshelves, these cabinets provide ample storage and display space while showcasing the natural beauty of the maple.

     • Wainscoting and Paneled Columns: The walls feature custom wainscoting, and the columns are mitered and paneled, with maple rosettes for a refined, custom touch.

     • Custom Fluted Casings: At the homeowner’s request, we designed fluted casings for the windows and doors, adding classic detailing that complements the room’s overall aesthetic.


    Built-In Entertainment System and Functional Features

    The library also boasts a built-in entertainment system with in-ceiling speakers, seamlessly integrating modern technology without compromising the traditional design. Support beams were cleverly disguised with under-paneling, ensuring that every structural element contributes to the room’s cohesive and polished look.


    Lighting for Drama and Ambiance

    Accent lighting was incorporated into the crown molding to showcase the intricate details of the ceiling and provide a warm, dramatic effect. This thoughtful addition highlights the depth and texture of the woodwork, creating a truly immersive environment.

     • Raised Panel Doors: The lower cabinets are fitted with raised panel doors, custom-designed to match the kitchen cabinetry in the adjacent room, creating a cohesive look throughout the home.

     • LED-Lit Display Shelves: The upper cabinets include integrated LED lighting, highlighting the contents of the shelves and adding a warm, inviting glow to the room.


    Scribed Base Cabinets and Rustic Hearth

    To ensure a flawless fit, the base cabinets were carefully scribed to the natural stone surrounding the fireplace. This precision craftsmanship ties the modern cabinetry seamlessly to the rough-edge slate hearth, adding texture and depth to the design.

    This vanity was thoughtfully designed to provide ample and versatile storage. Each drawer was carefully positioned and sized to ensure maximum usability without compromising the sleek design.

    To create a cohesive yet dynamic look, we chose a custom color for the vanity that was a shade different from the trim of the master bathroom. Among the highlights were custom-built entertainment systems featuring integrated 5.1 speaker setups, seamlessly blending functionality with fine woodworking.


    Custom Entertainment Systems

    Each home features a unique entertainment system, thoughtfully designed to enhance the living experience. The custom cabinetry was crafted to integrate 5.1 surround sound speakers, ensuring an immersive audio experience while maintaining a clean and polished aesthetic. From precise cutouts for speakers to elegant storage solutions for electronics and media, every detail was carefully considered.


    One of the standout challenges of this project was retrofitting a custom component cabinet into an existing kitchen island. Designed to house and conceal essential electronics and audio-visual components, this addition was expertly crafted and seamlessly integrated as an afterthought—proving that thoughtful design can overcome even the most complex retrofitting challenges.


    Invisible Integration

    The new cabinet was meticulously built from the existing island’s back panel.  From the outside, it’s virtually indistinguishable from the original structure, maintaining the cohesive aesthetic of the kitchen while adding a valuable storage solution for modern technology.

    For this project, we had the pleasure of designing and crafting a custom freestanding wine cabinet for a wonderful customer who shares our passion for both fine design and functional artistry. This piece was built to serve as a stylish and practical centerpiece for their wine collection, blending seamlessly into their home while standing out as a true work of craftsmanship.


    Custom-Fitted Elegance

    The cabinet was designed to accommodate two wine coolers, carefully fitted into precision-crafted compartments. To maximize functionality, we incorporated a sleek inset dovetailed drawer above the coolers—perfect for storing wine accessories or small items with easy access.


    Showcasing the Wine

    The centerpiece of the design is the open central carcass, thoughtfully structured with two fixed shelves and a pull-out wine drawer. The open bottom of the carcass allows the wine bottles to take center stage, beautifully displayed in a way that emphasizes their character and appeal. The pull-out drawer ensures that the collection is not only visually striking but also practical and accessible.
